A New Beginning

The journey into the unknown is never an easy tread. In complete honesty it's the hardest ones we may ever embark on but most times the most rewarding. For me mixing my passion with perseverance and turning it into my dream job was easier said than done but boy am I doing the damn thing and loving it! Haven't shared much of my journey thus far but finally coming back to share a bit of my journey and this beautiful story that is only just unfolding.

Where do I begin? Hiii everyone!!! I've missed you all. I know I have been gone for quite some time but as you should know by now Closet Code has officially become a brick and mortar store location and is currently a boutique store located in Kingston,Jamaica. Over the last few months I have been making some dreams a reality and this just happens to be one of my biggest accomplishments thus far! Life of an entrepreneur has definitely had its ups and downs but all in all I believe I was meant for this journey as this is just the first stepping stone to a beautiful journey unfolding ahead. Some of the lessons I have learned played an integral role in my growth as a businesswoman on this new journey so I wanted to share with you all.

Lesson 1:

Heavy is the head that wears the crown

Responsibility is the least of your worries on your new journey. It comes with so much more but the most important is the balance of the vast multitude of things you will need to accomplish on a day to day basis. It always nice to hold the title of boss but that title comes with a lot so while it sounds nice it equally comes with a lot of work so its important to acknowledge and adapt to the work load that comes with your new title.

Lesson 2:

To whom much is given much is required

This has been one of the BIGGEST constant reminders throughout this journey. Blessings come in so many different forms and the more you receive the more you are required to give. Granted all the new beautiful things unfolding on your plate may be simple or heavy blessings but its how you manage this that really makes all the difference. So instead of complaining the next time about all you have to do remember how blessed you are that you get to do it. Yes, it may not always be cookie cutter and easy but your long term reward is much greater than the current bits you may feel like is weighing you down. So you can't complain about a lot being on your plate when your goal is to eat.

Thank you for joining in on this journey with me.. So much more is to come and it starts out a little like this....
